Kenneth Joseph Bray

Kenneth Joseph Bray, age 87, of Braselton, GA passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife of three years, Ellen Williams Bray; parents, Leo and Lelia Bray; sister, Shirley Hamilton; and brother, Roswald Bray. Mr. Bray is survived by daughter, Melissa Bray, Buford, GA; grandchild, Amanda Louise McDonald, Buford, GA; great grandchildren, Raven McDonald, Ivy McDonald, and Blaze McDonald; sister, Carolyn Tallent, Dunwoody, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Bray was born on April 18, 1932 in Wrightsville, GA. He was a 1951 graduate of Dudley High School, and he attended Business College in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Bray was owner of Business Records Center in Atlanta. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Winder, GA and served in various churches as a Deacon, choir member, Sunday school teacher, chairman of Finance Committee, and on other committees After selling his business and retiring, he served as a mission service corps volunteer with the Southern Baptist Convention Home Mission Board, managing the Gwinnett Metro Baptist Church Foundation for over sixteen years. Since the Fall of 2008, Ken has represented First Baptist Church on the executive committee of the Appalachee Baptist Association. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Irby Stanley , First Baptist Church of Winder, officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
