Kenneth James Cobb

Mr. Kenneth James Cobb, age 79, of Rue Cezzan in Lavonia, Ga. passed away Friday, July 19, 2019 at the home.

A son of the late Tillman S. Cobb and Martha Bell Cobb, he was born April 10, 1940 in Stephens County, Ga.  He lived in Stephens and Franklin Counties his entire life.  Mr. Cobb was employed with John’s Roofing for many years and later retired from Cobb’s Roofing.  He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth J. Cobb, Jr., by six brothers, Jr. Cobb, Roy Lee Cobb, Sam Cobb, Dewey Cobb, Fritz Cobb, and Wayman Cobb, and by two sisters, Mary Nell Ivester and Ruby Gomez

He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Brenda Smith Cobb of the home, and by a son, James Keith Cobb of the home.

The Funeral Service will be held Sunday, July 21, 2019, 3:00 p.m., at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Larry Fingers officiating.

The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers, Jr. Smith, Stevie Harbert, Chris Cobb, Cody Smith, Eddie Ray Harbert, and Jason Smith. Pallbearers will please meet at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.

The family will receive friends at The Acree-Davis Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019 and again on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until the service hour.
