Richard Dennis Hornsby

Richard Dennis Hornsby, age 63, of Gainesville, GA passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019 following an extended illness.

He was born in Atlanta, GA and worked as a painter. He loved to fish, Nascar racing, and cooking for his kids. He was a great dancer and had a great sense of humor. Dennis also loved to play blues on the guitar and the harmonica. He dearly loved his family.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, William Perry and Clara Joyce Harris Hornsby, and his son, Jason Hornsby.

He is survived by his sons, Dennis and Jarrad Hornsby; and daughter, Suni Hornsby. Grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta, GA.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM until service hour.
