Madeline Vickers Sward

Mrs. Madeline Vickers Sward, age 80, of Flowery Branch passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Braselton, surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Stacy Phillips and Rev. Ted Williams will officiate.  The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sward was born December 14, 1938 to the late John McCoy & Elizabeth Kidd Vickers in Flowery Branch.  She was a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sward is survived by her husband of 61 years, Aristide “A.J.” Sward of Flowery Branch; son, Ron Sward of Oakwood; daughter & son-in-law, Faith & Chad Barnes of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Alayna Barnes, Bella Barnes and Charleigh Barnes; brother & sister-in-law, David & Sandra Vickers of Flowery Branch; brother, Kerry Vickers of Cleveland; sisters, Billie Phillips of Flowery Branch and Mary Leckie of Flowery Branch; and several nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Benny Vickers, Jerry Vickers and Roger Vickers.
