Nancy Ruth Langford Simmons

Mrs. Nancy Ruth Langford Simmons, age 65 of Law House Road, Toccoa passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of the late LeRoy and Florence Richards Langford, she was born January 18, 1954 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived in Stephens County most of her life. She was a member of Sunshine United Methodist Church and a member of the UMW of the church. She was a member of the Ladies Dinner Group. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Roy Langford.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Jerry D. “Nat” Simmons of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Stacey D. and Missy Simmons; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly S. and Mark Vaughn; grandchildren, Savannah Simmons, Nick Vaughn, Natalie Simmons, Lauren Simmons; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie G. and Nancy Langford of Acworth, Georgia; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Nina L. and Bruce Burdette of Toccoa, Barbara L. and Robert Moseley of Martin and Martha L. and Allan Sheriff of Martin; sisters-in-law, Susan S. Hanley and husband Bobby and Teresa S. Pritchett and husband Bill both of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 23, 2019, 2 O’clock p.m. at the Sunshine United Methodist Church with The Reverend William Hyndman and The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jason Hanley, Dennis Whiten, Jerry Kelly, Butch Payne, Matt Thompson and Ronnie Hardman.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the Sunshine United Methodist Church, 300 Sunshine Church Road, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mrs. Nancy Langford Simmons.

Interment will follow in the Sunshine United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Nancy Ruth Langford Simmons.
