William Glenn Irwin Hogan

William Glenn Irwin Hogan, age 91 of Cornelia, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019.
Born on July 21, 1928, in Jacksonville, Florida, he was the son of the late Walter Joel Irwin and Elizabeth Nell Glenn Hogan.  Mr. Hogan graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree.  He served in the United States Army during WWII and in the United States Air Force Intelligence in the Korean War.  He went on to retire from the Department of Defense and was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE).  Mr. Hogan was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Jeanette Wright Hogan; sister, Annell Cherry.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Allison and Victor Grogan of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, William Glenn Irwin, Jr. and Aesuk Han Hogan of Arizona; grandchildren, Kayla and Amanda Grogan both of Alto; sisters, Nora Morsch of Jacksonville, Florida and Letitia Kippenhan of Anchorage, Alaska; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services are 2 pm Friday, October 04, 2019, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. John Umberhant officiating.  Inurnment will follow in VFW Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, October 04, 2019 at the funeral home.
