Mr. Willie Hennon Wilmont of Savannah, formerly of Gainesville, Georgia, was born on January 19, 1947 to the late Wenonia Carrington and the late Lennon Wilmont. He was called home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2019. He was preceded in death by a son, Torrie Clyde.
Willie Hennon graduated from E. E. Butler High School in 1965.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Irene Wilmont; daughters, Tierra Diazpinto of Colorado, Andrea Dukes and Sonya (Timmy) Rucker, both of Gainesville; sons, Machon Sims of Stockbridge, Teffany Pierce of Gainesville, and Shedrick Barnett of Savannah; sisters, Ella (Walter) Smith, Wenelle (Willard) Hudson, Sandra Harris, Tonie Carrington, Johnnie (Willie) Brown, Sharon (Dwight) Goss, and Pauletta Wilkins, all of Gainesville; 13 grandchildren, 3 great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held Saturday October 5, 2019 at 11am at Dexter T. Sims Mortuary, LLC.
