Rose Marie Fitzpatrick

Rose Marie Fitzpatrick, age 95, of Cumming, GA passed away on October 12, 2019.  Rose was born in Solvay, NY.  She was a long-time resident of North Syracuse, NY.  Rose retired from Sears in 1982 after 20 years of service.  Rose and her husband James moved to the Atlanta area in 1983. 

Rose and her husband Jim did considerable traveling.  They traveled extensively throughout the US including Hawaii.  They also traveled to Ireland, France, and Italy where Rose was able to meet her relatives. They cruised in the Caribbean and also through the Panama Canal. 

Rose is predeceased in death by her parents Robert and Concetta (Zullo) Sgarlata, and her step-mother Mary Grace Sgarlata.

Rose is survived by her husband of 75 years, James.  She is survived by her sons James (King) Fitzpatrick of Newhall, CA, Terry (Cindy) Fitzpatrick of Lawrenceville, GA; Daughters Patricia (James) Piwinski of Kirkville, NY, and Maureen Wilson of Cumming, GA

Rose is also survived by her sister Frances Duszak of Solvay, NY; and her brothers Frank Sgarlata and Robert (Eileen) Sgarlata both of Solvay, NY; sister-in-law Agnes (Richard) Forger.  She is survived by her grandchildren Jodi (Phil) DeAugustine, Jay (Amy) Dunn, Brian Fitzpatrick, Tim Fitzpatrick, Michael Fitzpatrick, Jamie and Christa Bates.  She is also survived by her great grandchildren Kennedy, Madison, Aaron, Connie, and Samuel and several nieces and nephews.  

Visitation will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

A funeral mass will take place at the church at 2:00pm following the visitation.

A private graveside service will be held at East Shadowlawn Cemetery on Thursday, October 17, 2019.
