Billy Ray “Cabbage” Sheriff

Billy Ray “Cabbage” Sheriff, 72, of Dahlonega passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Reese officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on January 7, 1947 in Gainesville. Mr. Sheriff was a Veteran of the United States Army.  He was a retired Correctional Officer with Hall County and a member of Community Baptist Church.

Mr. Sheriff is survived by his wife, Regina Adams Sheriff of Dahlonega, sons and daughters in law, Billy Ray and Judy of Dahlonega, Phillip Andrew and Emily of Cleveland; son, Charles Brandon of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Georgia Rose, Juanita Faith, Olivia Jade, Shaina and Chris, Jason, Mamie, Toby; great grandchildren, Bentley, Brooklyn; beloved dog, Chewbacca; childhood friend, Charles James; mother in law, Juanita Adams of Lula; brothers, Gene Evans of Pendergrass, Bodie McDougald of Gainesville and a number of other family and friends.
