James Kenneth Porter

Mr. James Kenneth Porter, age 78, of Hoschton passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Broadlawn Cemetery.  Rev. Dave Channell will officiate.  The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

Mr. Porter was born February 23, 1941 to the late J. B. & Lecil Porter in Cordova, Alabama.  He was a member of Christ Place Church and retired from Georgia Pacific, where he was a General Sales Manager. 

Mr. Porter is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pat Porter of Hoschton; son & daughter-in-law, Richard & Sheri Porter of Gainesville; son, Kerry Porter of Buford; grandchildren, Ashley Donnelly, Keith Porter, LeaAnn Porter and James Richard Porter, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Porter and Olivia Donnelly; brother & sister-in-law, Michael & Nancy Porter of Pell City, Alabama and Fred & Terri Porter of Cordova, Alabama; sister, Laverne McLain of Dora, Alabama; and several nieces & nephews.
