Joan Maddox

Joan Maddox, 75, of Gainesville passed away Friday, November 8, 2019 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. James Kanaday and Rev. Tony Elrod will officiate. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on January 3, 1944 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Cozetta Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Northside Family Worship Center.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Maddox is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Maddox; son, Thomas Lamar Esco; stepson, Timmy Maddox and step daughter, Deanna Maddox.

Mrs. Maddox is survived by her daughter, Connie Esco of Gainesville; step son, James L. Maddox of Gainesville; half-brother, Wayne Voyles of Panama City Beach, FL; grandsons, Justin Ellen of Jefferson, Joshua Gibb s of Oakwood; granddaughter, Tabitha Maddox of Gainesville, grandson, David Thomas and a number of other relatives.
