Henry Prather

Henry Augustus Prather, age 85 went home to live with the Lord on Sunday, November 10, 2019. He was affectionately known to some as “Big Daddy”.
Born in Stephens County, GA on February 27, 1934. He was the son of Edward Prather and Texas Davis. Mr. Prather retired from Purina Mills after 40 years of service. He was the first black man employed there. He also retired from Wayne Poultry with 35 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice Mae Trimiar Prather; daughters: Shana Prather Ware, Robin Marie Prather and son Christopher S. Prather.
Henry leaves behind to cherish his memories: step-mother Mary E. Prather; sister Annie Prather; son Johnny (Arbra) Prather; daughters: Mary Ann (Robert) Robinson, Sherry Prather; grandchildren: Davein, Shun, Shemar and Brittany Prather; sister-in-law: Brenda Davy of Atlanta, GA, Darreyon Ware; Tempest Ware; Chelsia (Travell) Ware; Brandon (Aisha) Prather; Christopher (Shaneeka) Prather; Dexter McKlusky; Antonio Prather, Tyrone Gilmer, Trampas Freize, Stephanie, Sammy Parson, Barrington Hunt, Gabriel Parson, Dewitt Parson, Micky and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
