Nancy Elaine Bassett

Mrs. Nancy Elaine Bassett, age 64, of Braselton passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Emory University Hospital – Midtown, surrounded by her family.

Memorial Services will be 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Christ Place Church.  Rev. Dave Channell will officiate.  The family will receive friends 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Christ Place Church.

Mrs. Bassett was born January 24, 1955 to the late Floyd Eugene & Betty Hair Green in Orlando, Florida.  She was a member of Christ Place Church and worked for Eton Shirts, where she had been an Administrative Assistant.  Through her love from and for family, friends and Jesus Christ, she was able to use her gifts of encouragement and singing to minister to others.  A real adventurer, she always enjoyed a meal with good conversation.

Mrs. Bassett is survived by her children, Kim & Bryan Everett of Braselton, Rev. Jon & Laura Humphreys of Savannah and Jason Bassett of Oakwood; grandchildren, Stephen, Michael, Sarah, Ruth, Lydia, Joshua, Marianna and Esther; brother & sister-in-law, Floyd E. & Linda Green, Jr. of Hartwell; sister, Betty Luann Green Cole of Royston, brother-in-law, Tony Robertson of Carnesville; and several nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffery David Bassett; parents, Floyd Eugene Green & Betty Hair Green; sisters, Kathy Green Robertson and Florine Opal Green; and brother-in-law, Ricky Cole.
