Claude Wayne Spencer

Mr. Claude Wayne Spencer, age 53 of Strickland Way, Lavonia, Georgia passed away Monday, December 9, 2019.

A son of Jean Cheek Strickland and the late James Claude Spencer, he was born December 1, 1966 in Macon, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County and the last several years in Franklin County. He was employed with Fanello Industries as a truck driver. He attended Gateway Community Chapel. He loved hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his mother, Jean Cheek Strickland of Lavonia; daughter, Madison Spencer of Martin; son and daughter-in-law, Ethan and Abby Spencer of Commerce; mother of his children, Sue Sellers of Martin; two grandchildren, Caden and Bryson; brother, Gary Spencer of Eastanollee; two sisters, Pat Mitchell of Maryland and Kay Cash of Eastanollee.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
