Wayne Simpson

Wayne Simpson, age 78, o f Sugar Hill, GA passed away Monday, December 9, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-two years, Mabel Yates Simpson; daughter, Donna Gail Simpson.  Mr. Simpson is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David L. and Phyllis York, Sullivan, MO; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Nathan Tilliman, Baxley, GA, Sherry and Keith Trout, Rockmart, GA; five grandchildren, Deborah and Michael Derden, David L. York, Jr. and wife Megan, Adam York, Paul Hariston, Eric Hariston; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carolyn Yates, Trion, GA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mr. Simpson was born August 29, 1941 in Atlanta, GA.  He graduated from high school in College Park, GA.  Mr. Simpson was a retired clerk from Kroger Stores in Buford, GA and also the West Paces Ferry Road Store.  He also retired from Colonial Store.  Mr. Simpson was a member of West Buford Baptist Church, Buford, GA.  A memorial service will be held Friday, December 13, 2019 at 3:30 p.m., in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry McCormick officiating.  The family will receive friends 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. Friday, December 13^th at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Buford Baptist Church, c/o David Banks, in memory of Wayne Simpson.
