Lawrence Thomas Mitro

Lawrence Thomas Mitro 56, of Cumming, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019.

Lawrence was a proud member of The United States Air Force where he was a Sargent, and The Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, GA. He was a Firefighter with the Forsyth County Fire Department since 1998 as one of the first groups of full-time paid firefighters in the county, his unit went by the Dirty 30.

Lawrence is survived by his parents; Thomas and Constance Mitro of Cumming, GA.

Fiancé Denise Mills of Texas.

Daughter; Lauren Mitro of Cumming, GA.

Siblings; Paul Mitro of Jeffersonville, VT; and Michele Hardbol (Dana) of Cumming, GA.

Other survivors include his nieces; Breanna Light (Greg) of Colorado, Alexis Darrow (Bobby) of Virginia, and his great-niece Avery Darrow also survives.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 10:00am – 1:00pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

Memorial services will be at 1:30pm on Monday, December 30,2019 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

Inturnment with Air Force honors will be held at Georgia National Cemetery at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 2, 2020.
