Steve Allen Smith

Steve Allen Smith age 63 of Gainesville passed away Saturday February 15, 2020 at his residence.

Steve was born March 26, 1956 in Demorest, Georgia to Rev. Ralph O. & Ruby Meeks Smith. Steve was retired from Kroger where he worked as the produce manager. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Banks County.

Survivors include parents, Rev. Ralph O. & Ruby Smith of Oakwood, daughters, Kacee (Tim) Criddle of Gainesville, Amy Smith (Cory Tucker) of Commerce, Renee (Chris) Porter of Homer, brother, Dr. Jerry (Judy) Smith of Athens, grandchildren, Elijah Thompson, Alivia Criddle, Madison Criddle, Jacob Criddle & Watson Porter, niece, Stephanie Perez of Ashville, NC.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday February 18, 2020 at Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Wayne Abernathy & Rev. Lamar Purcell officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 Monday Feb. 17, 2020 at the funeral home.
