Arthur P. Burgess

Arthur P. Burgess, age 81, of Dacula, GA passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Benjamin Burgess.  Mr. Burgess is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Mandi Burgess, Dacula, GA; grandchildren, Michael Burgess and wife Karli, Molly Burgess; brothers and sister-in-law, Albert Burgess, Costa Rica, Alan and Joanne Burgess, Roswell, GA.  Mr. Burgess was born October 13, 1938 in Queens, New York.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army for three years.  Mr. Burgess was a graduate of William and Mary College with a Bachelor’s Degree, and a graduate of Georgia State University with a Master’s Degree.  He was a retired insurance salesman.  Mr. Burgess was a Life Master Bridge player and was an actor and did acting during high school and college.  He was of Methodist faith.  Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA, with military honors, later in the summer.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association in memory of Arthur P. Burgess.
