Chestatee, Pickens battle for second in Region 7-AAA

GAINESVILLE - The No. 6-ranked Chestatee High girls softball team completes its Region 7-AAA schedule Tuesday, traveling to No. 4 Pickens County.

The War Eagles (6-2 in Region 7-AAA) could finish second in the region over Pickens with a win but would fall to fourth it they lose and Flowery Branch beats Johnson.

The Region 7-AAA Tournament is scheduled to begin next Tuesday at Lanier Point Softball Complex.

Flowery Branch, which beat Chestatee earlier in the year and holds the tiebreakers for seeding, is 7-2 in the region and finishes its region scheduled Tuesday against Johnson.

Chestatee is the defending Region 7-AAA champion.
