Boyfriend charged with killing Gainesville native in N.C.

BURLINGTON, N.C. - A Gainesville native's live-in boyfriend is charged with killing her at their Burlington, N.C., home.

The Burlington, North Carolina, Times News reports that the murder occurred a week ago and that 32-year-old Antonio Landero Suarez has been charged with the crime.

Kristy Lea Senter, who was 27, was born in Gainesville and had lived in Burlington the past 4 1/2 years, according to her obituary.

Burlington police say she had been a victim of domestic violence before last Sunday's incident.

Senter was buried in Gainesville Friday.
