Two arrested after pounds of drugs, pills found in Rabun County home

Two people were arrested last week after authorities said they found hundreds of grams of illegal drugs and prescription pills at a home near Tiger.

A release Saturday by the Rabun County Sheriff's Office said investigators searched a home on Strawberry Lane on Wednesday, finding a list of drugs. The drugs and pills found reportedly included:

  • 2 pounds of marijuana
  • 448 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
  • 78 grams of methamphetamine
  • 2 ounces of THC wax
  • 27 grams of cocaine
  • 26 grams of fentanyl
  • 149 ecstasy pills
  • 138 oxycodone pills
  • 43 amphetamine pills

Investigators also reportedly found four firearms during the search.

Deborah Johnson Sir, age 69, and Robert Arthur Sir II, age 41, both of Tiger, were both arrested at the scene. Both face various drug possession and trafficking charges.

"We commend the extraordinary professionalism of our deputies, whose tireless dedication ensures that Rabun County remains a safe haven for its residents," Rabun County Sheriff Mark Gerrells said in a statement Saturday. "The Rabun County Sheriff's Office remains steadfast in its mission to eliminate threats posed by illegal narcotics."
