GDOL to help Home Goods recruit warehouse workers in Athens Fri.

ATLANTA - This Friday, the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help Home Goods recruit about 100 warehouse workers for its home furnishings distribution center in Jefferson. <br />

The recruitment will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the GDOL's Athens Career Center at 150 Evelyn C. Neely Drive.<br />
<br />
The company is recruiting warehouse associates to ship, receive, and process orders for home furnishings. According to a statement from the GDOL, due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school or General Education Diploma (GED) is required, while previous warehousing experience is not necessary. <br />

Applicants are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for jobs. And, they must be available to work the first shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or the second shift from 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. <br />
