Area industries honored by Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce

GAINESVILLE - Several industries in Hall County were honored Thursday afternoon at the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce's 2014 Industry of the Year Awards luncheon.<br />

Sponsored by Lanier Technical College, the awards honor existing industry leaders in the area based on the criteria of economic impact, workforce excellence and corporate responsibility. <br />
<br />
The Greater Hall Chamber continues to focus on the importance of existing industries in Gainesville-Hall County Georgia, and business remains strong. In 2013-2014, new and expanded businesses created 1,050 new jobs and generated $170 million in capital investment for Gainesville-Hall County. <br />
<br />
The following awards were presented at the Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville at 11:30 a.m. This was the sixth year the Chamber has held the event.<br />
