Ma Gooch's changes name to JW Reeds

CLEVELAND - A well-established Cleveland restaurant, Ma Gooch's, has changed its name to be more in line with the new menu items being offered. <br /> <br /> Owner Ed Ward said during a chamber of commerce ribbon cutting and new name unveiling Thursday, the changes have been going on for some time and the name change was a part of that. <br /> <br /> The restaurant is now called JW Reeds. Ward explained the new name, saying, "J W Reeds is the name of our family, my wife and my children. My oldest boy is John, my youngest child is William, my wife's name is Regina that's where the Re is and my name is Ed."<br /> <br /> Ward said he was surprised at the large turnout of people who came out to see the new name to the restaurant he renamed Ma Gooch's in 1994, in honor of former owner Pauline "Ma" Gooch. <br /> <br /> He also said more changes are yet to come.<br /> <br /> "In the future, you'll see more seafood items on our menu, as we can train our cooks to do it," Ward said. "The exterior of the building has not been remodeled as of yet. We'll be doing that this year. Of course the inside has been totally renovated. I think it looks good and so I hope people will come out and give us a try."
