ALTO - B.C Grant Baptist Outdoor Ministries of Alto expects to host more than 1000 people at its 15th annual archery shoot on Saturday, August 9.<br />

The family event includes activities for all ages, including archery competition, non-competition events, and door prize drawings for all in attendance. You could be drawn to win one of many exciting prizes, such as a new bow, a custom knife, archery accessories, and many, many more.<br />
<br />
The shoot consists of five ranges of 20 McKenzie-style targets plus additional novelty shots, including the IronMan. Marty and Val Chapman will be returning for their fourth year with a 3-D pop-up target shoot.<br />
<br />
Trophies will be awarded in nine classes: Junior Marksman, Young Hunter, Youth Hunter, Youth Traditional, Ladies, Novice, Traditional, Hunter, and Open.<br />
<br />
Registration and practice range will be open from 6:30-8:00 a.m, and shooters can save time by registering online at www.bcgrantoutdoors.com.<br />

Breakfast will be provided. The shoot meeting starts at 8:15 a.m with special guest speaker Gary Miller, a writer, speaker, author, and avid outdoorsman. His column,"Outdoor Truths," appears in approximately 70 newspapers and regional magazines across 18 states. He serves as a pro-staff member for several outdoor companies including PSE Archery, Alpen Optics, Kentucky Antler Company, and Schiek Sports. His sponsors include Hevi-Shot, LaCrosse Footwear, Flyway Supply, and others.<br />

Shotgun start will be at 9:00 a.m. Spectators are welcome, and also elgible for door prizes.<br />
<br />
An affordable lunch will also be provided.<br />
