FLOWERY BRANCH - A Saturday morning house fire in Flowery Branch that injured three people was apparently accidental in nature, according Deputy Chief Chad Black of Hall County Fire Services.
"This fire...started inside one of the bedrooms according to investigators," Chief Black said late Saturday afternoon. "There were multiple occupants asleep at the time of the fire and woke up to flames in the bedroom."
Black added that one person living in an RV next to the house, which is at 5849 Atlanta Highway, did not realize everyone was out and entered the house to look for the others and suffered first- and second-degree burns to her face. She was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where, according to Black, she was going to be held at least for the night for observation. The other two victims were treated at the scene and refused transport to the hosptial.
He said fire Investigators will be returning for further investigation and that the Red Cross is assisting the occupants.
The fire, which occurred just after 8:00, destroyed two vehicles parked near the house.
