GAINESVILLE — The Hall County School Board will have to start the process over to find a Finance Officer for the school district.
Earlier this month, the Board announced the hiring of Thomas Harp to fill the new position, but this week the Board learned Harp had changed his mind about the job.
School System spokesman Gordon Higgins said Harp opted to stay with the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts after he was offered a promotion.
The position of Finance Officer is a new position created to support the Finance Department under Deputy Superintendent Lee Lovett.
