CUMMING - A teenage trespasser from Lumpkin County prompted a lock-down at Forsyth Central High School in Cumming Thursday morning.
School system spokeswoman Jennifer Caracciolo confirmed that the school was on lock-down for about 25 minutes while law enforcement looked for the 16-year-old. She said students remained in class and teachers continued to teach.
Caracciolo said the teen was arrested a short distance from campus.
She did not say why he was thought to be a threat; the boy apparently had friends at Forsyth Central.
Caracciolo said FCHS parents were alerted to the lock-down via email, while students and staff heard the announcement over the school intercom.
