MACON, Ga. (AP) Sheriff's officials are investigating after a father said he went to wake his 4-year-old girl for church and found her strangled in the cords of a window blind in central Georgia.
Bibb County sheriff's officials say the cord from the blind was wrapped around her neck when she was found Sunday morning in her home on Ivy Brook Way.
Bibb County sheriff's Lt. Sean DeFoe tells The Telegraph newspaper of Macon that he couldn't release many details of the case because family members were still being notified.
DeFoe said an autopsy would be done at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which is standard procedure in the wake of an unattended death.
