Korea-based firm expected to create 200 Ga. jobs

By The Associated Press
MILLEN, Ga. (AP) State officials say a Korea-based manufacturer plans to create its first North American headquarters in the east Georgia city of Millen.

Gov. Nathan Deal said the development by Wells Lighting is expected to create more than 200 jobs.

Deal said in a statement that the company produces such things as streetlights, industrial lighting, solar street lights and smart control system lights. Deal said the firm will move into an existing 92,000-square-foot building, which will house the company's headquarter operations; research and development; and manufacturing operations for its new LED lighting production line.

Millen is about 50 miles south of Augusta.
