Two hurt in Habersham tractor incident

CLARKESVILLE - Two people were hurt when one of them was run over by a farm tractor north of Clarkesville Thursday morning.

Lt. Jason Garrett of Habersham County Fire Department said the incident happened around 10 a.m. at a vineyard on Stonepile Road north of Clarkesville.

Garrett said a man was attempting to crank a tractor when it ran over him.

A woman who tried to help him also suffered an injury to her leg, Garrett said.

Both individuals involved were conscious at the scene and they were taken by Habersham County ambulances to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Garrett didn't have additional details.
