LEXINGTON, Ga. (AP) A small church with more than two centuries of history in Oglethorpe County will be hosting its last worship.
Sunday will mark the last official service for Lexington Presbyterian Church.
The congregation started in in 1785 as Beth Salem Presbyterian Church. It now has just three members.
The Florida Times-Union reports a community organization is poised to preserve the building, which also has served as a venue for concerts and special Christmas celebrations.
