UNDATED — The hot weather means some unhealthy air on Tuesday, according to officials with the Clean Air Campaign.
A Code Orange Alert has been issued for metro Atlanta and parts of north Georgia, including Hall County. Ground-level ozone levels are predicted to be unhealthy for “sensitive groups,” according to the alert.
Children, people with asthma and people who suffer from heart and lung disease are encouraged to limit their time outdoors on Tuesday, especially during the late afternoon and early evening when ozone levels are highest.
