By Dean Dyer WRWH Radio

CLEVELAND—A missing juvenile from Lumpkin County was located last Friday in White County. 17-year old Kaitlin Cooper was reported missing by Lumpkin County authorities last week after her mother filed a missing person’s report on August 2nd.

Cooper reportedly had ties to White County, so White County and other local law enforcement were on the lookout for her. Lumpkin County Sheriff’s office called on the public to help in finding the girl.

Bob Ingram, White County Chief Deputy advised Monday afternoon that Cooper was located a Dollar General store in White County Friday. Ingram said the youth was taken to the Sheriff’s office in order for investigators to interview her about her whereabouts the last 10 days. Cooper also had an outstanding warrant. Following the interview she was transported to the Regional Youth Detention Center in Gainesville.

According to Ingram the incident is still under investigation.
