ATLANTA (AP) A traffic-navigation phone app is looking to help inform motorists avoid traffic delays and navigate easier in a northeast suburb of Atlanta.
Johns Creek will be the first city in Georgia to partner with Waze, a Google-based smart phone app that monitors traffic in real time. Johns Creek is also the eighth city in the United States to join the company, including Boston, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
Waze has a million users worldwide to help motorists find the quickest routes.
Mayor Mike Bodker says he is proud that Johns Creek is the first in Georgia to "embrace this new technology to better serve our citizens.''
