SUWANEE — Officials said a water main break that has closed Buford Highway in Suwanee is not expected to be repaired until about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.
The break at Woods Creek Lane was detected just before the start of the morning rush hour.
Traffic is being re-routed onto Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.
One elementary school in the area is effected by the water main break. The Gwinnett County Public Schools said in a Facebook post that Roberts Elementary School is without water, but water trucks have brought water to the school and they have set up water coolers in the hallways for student use.
