Four participants in the Hall County Correctional Institution's REACT (Re-entry Accountability Court Transition) program recently completed a welding certification program.
The program was sponsored by Goodwill of North Georgia, Work Source Georgia, and Lanier Technical College.
The four graduates earned a vocational certificate in welding from Lanier Tech and are nationally certified as entry level welders, successfully completing the 12-week program and the testing process. The goal of the REACT program is to increase public safety, reduce government costs, reduce recidivism, and foster partnerships that will support the offender's transition back into the community.
