Gainesville Kiwanis accepts nominations for Jacobs Youth Service Award

The Gainesville Kiwanis Club announced Tuesday it is now accepting nominations for the John W. Jacobs, Jr. Youth Service Award.

The annual award is presented to a person in the community who has rendered dedicated and outstanding service to youth in the area. According to selection committee, the purpose of the award is to recognize an individual who has given both his/her time and resources to the better of youth in the community. 

Nomination forms are available at the Gainesville Kiwanis Club website.  Any questions may be directed to Committee Chairman Eddie Hartness at 770-535-7000.

The deadline for nominations is February 28, 2016.

The award will be presented at the Annual Kiwanis Banquet on March 15, 2016 at the Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville.
