Eight Forsyth County businesses cited for selling booze to minors

A total of eight businesses in Forsyth County - including two restaurants and a grocery store - were cited recently for selling alcohol to minors.
 
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Ordinance and Permits Unit routinely conducts compliance checks, and authorities monitored 30 businesses in its latest operation, according to an email statement from the sheriff's office. Of those businesses cited for underage sales, Ducktown BP on Canton Highway also did not have an alcohol sales permit. 

The following businesses were cited for selling alcohol to underage patrons:                                                                                                            

  • Shell Food Mart, 2325 Atlanta Highway, Cumming 
  • Publix 616, 4900 Atlanta Highway, Alpharetta 
  • Branchwater Restaurant, 5820 S. Bond Street, Cumming 
  • Ducktown BP, 4636 Canton Highway, Cumming 
  • QuikTrip, 1655 Buford Highway, Cumming 
  • BP,  3240 Peachtree Parkway, Suwanee 
  • QuikTrip, 3611 Peachtree Parkway, Suwanee 
  • Applebee's, 4210 Johns Creek Parkway, Suwanee
