Visitors to downtown Gainesville Friday will have a chance to win a Spring Chicken Festival gift basket - if they are willing to have their picture taken with "Clucky," the festival mascot.
It's part of the celebration of Georgia Cities Week by Main Street Gainesville and the Gainesville Convention and Visitors Bureau.
According to an email from the city's public relations office, "Clucky" will be roaming the downtown area from 12:00-1:00 Friday as part of the "Pic With A Chick" contest. Take your photo with "Clucky," post it on the Downtown Gainesville Facebook page, and you will be entered in a drawing for the gift basket.
The festival will be held Saturday April 30 from 10:00-4:00.
Other activities for Georgia Cities Week include child fingerprinting and car seat safety checks at local day care facilities.
