The White County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of a Gainesville man on Thursday, saying he has been charged with criminal trespass and possession of tools for the commission of crime at a local business.
Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Tim Chapman said 41-year old Kevin Daniel Peavy was arrested at Thomas Concrete, which is located on Highway 129 south of Cleveland.
According to Chapman, officers responded to an alarm call at the business, noticed Peavy’s truck and discovered him hiding.
Sheriff's investigators are checking with surrounding counties for other burglaries that Peavy might have committed.
