A Gainesville man who was first arrested on child pornography charges in October of 2024 is now facing more than 100 new charges after more videos and images were discovered.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday morning that Martin Pedro, age 20, had been arrested on October 3, 2024 after a cybertip reportedly led local investigators to finding 18 videos of children engaged in sexually explicit acts.

After that arrest, investigators began looking further into his online activity and personal devices. Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesperson B.J. Williams said that's where they then found additional images.

"The ongoing investigation led to the discovery of 134 additional pieces of child sexual abuse material," Williams said.

Williams added that investigators determined that Pedro had also produced four of the videos himself, depicting illicit acts by a female victim who was under the age of 16 at a home in Hall County.

"Typically, we do not see a lot of locally-produced videos and images during these types of arrests, but this was a different case," Williams said.

Pedro is now facing over a hundred charges of sexual exploitation of children, as well as child molestation charges. Williams said the female victim has been identified and was known to Pedro prior to the alleged production of the videos.

Pedro is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond.
