No one was injured, but a house in Lawrenceville was damaged after a car rolled into the building Thursday evening.
According to a release from the Gwinnett County Department of Fire and Emergency Services, an unoccupied sedan rolled backwards into the home on Stella Court at around 6:45 and broke through the exterior wall. A family was inside the home but was able to leave without injury.
A technical rescue team was also dispatched because the wall damaged by the car was a load-bearing wall for the building. Crews used wooden supports to stabilize the wall.
The family will be displaced until officials can confirm the home is structurally stable and repairs are made.
