According to a news release from the hospital, the magazine used Castle Connolly, a physician-led healthcare research and information company, to compile its list. Castle Connolly’s established nomination survey, research, screening and selection process involves an online nomination process in which all licensed MDs and DOs in the U.S. are able to nominate peer physicians they believe are among the best. This year’s list considered physicians with primary offices in Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry and Rockdale counties.
