United Way of Hall County reports that its has topped the goal that was set for a special month-long campaign during March.
During the month, United Way's campaign cabinet extended its fundraising efforts to raise money for The Compass Center.
Various businesses around town were asked to host the United Way thermometer while promoting the work of The Compass Center. The goal for the special campaign was $50,000 and the agency recently reported that more more $60,000 was raised.
United Way describes The Compass Center as "a one-stop community resource center connecting individuals and families in poverty with existing services and providers throughout Gainesville and Hall County."
