The North Hall Middle School Lego Robotics Team is headed to the state championship.

The team competed in the First Lego League regional competition in Blairsville on Dec. 16, winning tournament champion out of 16 other North Georgia schools. This sent the team to the First Lego League Super Regional Competition in Athens on Jan. 13, where again the team won first place and tournament champion out of the 32 best teams in North Georgia.

The state championship will be held at Georgia Gwinnett College on Feb. 3 for a chance to compete at the FLL Nationals in San Jose, California, in June.

This will be North Hall's first appearance in the Lego Robotics State Championship.

Coached by Paul Johnson, the team members are:

Lily Wallace

Walker Barnes

Zoe Finelli

Drew Dyer

Bowen Lewis

Trey Green

As AccessWDUN reported last week, Gainesville's Enota school also has a team headed to the state championship.
