The first of four Listening Sessions by Gainesville school officials on extending the ESPLOT (Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) will be held Tuesday.
School system personnel will discuss previous projects and the district's financial responsibility and will answer questions related to overcrowding and the future growth of the school district.
The sessions will be held on the following dates:
*October 10 - Mundy Mill Learning Academy (4260 Millside Parkway) - 10:00 a.m.
*October 16 - Gainesville Middle School (1581 Community Way) - 6:00 p.m.
*October 24 - Fair Street Neighborhood Center (715 Fair Street) - 10:00 a.m.
*October 30 - Gainesville High School (830 Century Place) - 6:00 p.m.
Last week, school officials released a list of six topics they expect to focus on during the meetings.
