After a record-breaking three weeks of early voting, elections officials in Georgia's 159 counties have a few days to breathe before Tuesday's General Election.
More than 2.07 million Georgia voters cast ballots between Oct. 15, 2018 and Nov. 2, 2018, according to the website GeorgiaVotes.com. That's compared to the almost 939,000 who voted early in 2014. The increase is more than 120-percent.
In Hall County, the final day of early voting meant long waits for those who wanted to cast a ballot before Tuesday. At the end of the day, the wait was at least two hours, according to poll workers at the Hall County Government Center.
Registration Coordinator Terenda Sargent said 1,926 people cast early ballots on Friday, bringing the early voting total for Hall County to 27,272. That represents just over 22.5-percent of Hall County's registered voters.
Early voting is now over, and the final opportunity to cast a ballot will be Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters will need to report to their assigned precincts to vote on Tuesday.
