The principal of Gainesville's Fair Street International Academy is leaving for a school superintendent's job in Minnesota.
A posting on the Rush City, Minn., Board of Education website says William Campbell is expected to assume the post July 1.
Campbell's career in education includes stints as an elementary teacher in Chattanooga, Tenn., and Dalton, Ga., according to the posting.
He began his administrative career in 2005 at Gainesville Exploration Academy as an assistant principal. After serving less than a year there, he was transferred to Fair Street School in 2006. Two years later in 2008, he became the principal of Fair Street.
Campbell will replace Teresa Dupre who stepped down in November.
