By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor

The Hall County Republican Party next month will begin the process of electing delegates to the state GOP Convention which will be held in May.

It begins February 9 with Precinct Caucuses (or Mass Meetings as they are commonly referred to).  At those sessions, precinct officers will be elected as well as delegates to the county convention.

The county convention will take place March 9.  County officers and committee members will be elected along with delegates to the district and state conventions.

These two sessions meetings will begin at 10:00 a.m. on their respective days and all will be held at the Gainesville Civic Center.

The 9th District Convention will be held April 13 in Dillard.  District officers will be elected at that meeting.

The state convention is set for May 16-18 in Savannah.  A state chairman and other party officers will be elected, all for two-year terms.
